The international information group " Interfax " has presented the XI National University Ranking for 2020. The project assessed the activities of 337 leading universities and institutes in Russia. Astrakhan State University scored 369 points and took 132 place.
The list of the best universities in Russia is traditionally headed by the Lomonosov Moscow State University. On the second line of the ranking is the National Research Nuclear University " MEPhI ", on the third - the National Research University Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT).
It should be noted that two universities from the Astrakhan region entered the national rating. Astrakhan State Medical University took 162 place in the list.
Universities were assessed on six dimensions: educational performance, research, social environment, internationalization (international cooperation), brand, innovation and technological entrepreneurship. The highest indicator of Astrakhan State University this year was international cooperation (54th place). The university has risen in comparison with last year and according to other criteria. So, for example, ASU scored 226 points for research activities (in 2019 - 174 points). All these achievements allowed our university to take the 132nd place in the national ranking (in 2019, the university took the 146th line).
Note that the assessment is carried out on the basis of processing the data of questionnaires filled in by representatives of universities, available public data posted by educational institutions on their websites, public data of information resources of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, as well as information from the information and analytical systems SPARK and SCAN.
