The Kyrgyz Republic is known as Kyrgyzstan or Kirghizia. It is a nation located in Central Asia. The country is geographically isolated by its highly mountainous terrain and is bordered by Kazakhstan in the north, Uzbekistan in the west and southwest, Tajikistan in the southwest and China in the east. Kyrgyzstan's education system is based on humanistic values and principles of democracy. The Ministry of Education and Science is responsible for education in the country. Kyrgyzstan has 55 higher educational institutions out of which 37 are state institutions.
The duration of MBBS program in Universities of Kyrgyzstan is of 5 years.The internship is not included in these 5 years.
MBBS program is carried in English medium in all universities of Kyrgyzstan , the students are taught parallel the local Language of the country also.
More than 5000 Indian students are pursuing MBBS degree from Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan offers low-cost medical course. The total cost of the program inclusive of all the expenses is around 15 lacs as the cost of living is cheaper than India. The weather of Kyrgyzstan suits Indian students as it is quite similar to the weather of north India.
The student intake starts in Kyrgyzstan by July end. The classes start by 20th August in most faculties.
