Founded on September 15, 1916, Dnipropetrovsk State Medical University (DSMU) is the oldest European Medical Institution with high repute, skilled staff and good medical atmospherelocated in Dnieper, Ukraine. At present more than 2000 International students are studying in DSMA in Under graduate and Post graduate field. These students belong to India, China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Yemen, Qatar, Oman, Morocco, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and 33 other countries from Asia, Africa and from Europe.
At present total 4500 students are studying in the university.Since its creation the institute has trained about 49,000 doctors, dentists, pharmacists and nurses.
Altogether DMA has 7 hostels situated in various region of the city, which are associated by modern transport structure (transport, tramway, and trolley-transport).Around 2768 students can be accommodated in the hostels. The campus of the university has a sports complex, a sanatorium, academic library, sports camp, a techno centre, two museums, and vivarium.
More than 600 teachers (among them 100 doctors and 350 candidates of sciences, 1 academician and 3 corresponding members of National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, 1 corresponding member of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine) help to master extremely difficult, responsible but infinitely grateful specialty at 7 faculties of medical academy (three faculties of general medicine, dentistry, two international and post-graduate studies faculties).
