The PetreShotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy, commonly referred to as Tbilisi Medical Academy, is a Georgian private medical university located in Tbilisi. The university was founded in 1992 by PetreShotadze, in whose honor it was posthumously renamed. Tbilisi Medical Academy is the oldest private institution of higher education in Georgia. Since its foundation, TMA has grown up more then 1500 graduates who work successfully in leading Georgian and International Hospitals, Universities and Scientific Centres.
The university is recognised by all the major world's organisations like Association of Medical Education in Europe (AMEE), European Medical Students Association (EMSA), Foundation of Advancement of International Directory of Medical Education and Research (FAIMER), Medical Council of India (MCI) & World Health Organization (WHO).
Tbilisi Medical Academy has highly qualified academic staff and is providing medical education in accordance with international regulations and recommendations. Study Process at Tbilisi Medical Academy is compatible with international standards. Tbilisi Medical Academy has bilateral agreements with leading Universities of Turkey, University of Lund (Sweden), University of Oldenburg (Germany), University of Vilnius and University of Klaipeda (Lithuania) and others.
