Ternopil National Medical University

Founded on 12 April 1957, Ternopil National Medical University is a medical university located in the city of Ternopil in Ukraine.TNMU is a medical university which aims to develop highly-skilled and competitive professionals that are recognized by worldwide and are possess high degree of confidence.
Ternopil is a city in western Ukraine in the historical regions of Galicia and Podolia located on the banks of the Seret River. Until 1944, it was known mostly as Tarnopol.

HIGHLIGHTS OF TNMU

Academics- The teaching staff includes over 600 professors, with 102 full professors and 460 associate professors. Languages of instruction are Ukrainian, English, and Russian. From 2005 students are assessed according to the European Credit Test System (ECTS) credit-module system. More than 1500 international students from 53 different countries are studying in Ternopil National Medical University.

Infrastructure- The University is well-equipped with modern infrastructure.The University has 10 large lecture-halls with sophisticated audio-visual systems,modern Practical and laboratory rooms and affiliated hospitals. Academic departments are located in different buildings around the central part of Ternopil, while clinical departments are situated in the affiliated hospitals.

Accreditation and Recognition- TNMU is listed in the FAIMER (International Medical Education) directory under ECFMG and the WHO (World Health Organization). TSMU's degree is recognized by WHO, US Education Department, General Medical Council of England, and in EU countries.

Faculties – The main faculties of the University are Medicine, Dentistry , Pharmacy and Nursing. Postgraduate programs are also offered in different fields.

Hostel and Accommodation

TNMU has a good hostel system with fully furnished rooms, quiet study environment surrounded by recreation centres.
All hostel rooms are furnished and vary in size and number of conveniences. Dormitory rooms at university hostels can accommodate 2 or 3 students for each room.
All rooms are equipped with a bed, mattress, pillow, blanket, desk, chair, heater, water heaters and suitable lighting for both study and relaxation.
There are common areas where students can play and mingle.
In the hostel, each room is equipped with kitchen provided for students to cook food to their own taste.
All rooms have attached washrooms.
There is also provision of mess for foreigner students

International Collaboration - The University collaborates with a number of foreign institutions. The University has its own International student’s department as part of its commitment of the University to the internationalisation of its programmes and activities. The International student’s department provides a facility and service for the support of foreign students.

Achievements-

Ternopil National Medical University is the first university in Ukraine to adopt the American Nursing Program.
TNMU was the first among medical universities in the branch rating of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in 2014 and 2016.
TNMU was the first in the overall rating of the universities of Ukraine according to the International Educational Portal.
According to the CEDOS think-tank, TNMU was one of the top universities in the Transparency Rating among the universities of Ukraine in 2016.

STEP 1: HOW TO GET INVITATION LETTER

After receiving these documents, Confirmation letter will be sent from Ternopil National Medical University.

STEP 2: VISA
After getting the invitation letter from Ternopil National Medical University, the student should contact the nearest Ukrainian Embassy in his/her country and complete the VISA procedure.

STEP 3: ARRIVAL

Every Student should bring original complete documents and with Full First year Expenses or Payment Receipt to undergo the admission process.
